once there was a dragon lord. he was a bold dragon who fought to keep his name has now been forgotten. there were battles every thousand years and he fought in every one. then the one his son joined him in his son died within the hour. he flew his son’s body home arrows hitting his sides as he flew. he brought his son home to the mother. she was enraged and went flattening out the humans and elves alike. she was mortally wounded so he picked her up went and got his son. the three of them dived into a volcano and for 3 days lava spewed out and killed everyone involved in the battle. later that volcano sealed up and became a hill. now that hill is named spirit hill.

one of the oldest dragon families to ever live on Astra… a sad way to go but their memory lies forever in the hill…

indeed it does… I seem to remember hearing this story from you before, in an earlier life…

I always liked dad’s dragon stories… Even the sad ones.

humm that happened a long time ago before the spirowas times… I wonder how he heard…

he likely heard it from Draconis, or one of the dragon families he stayed at when he was younger… or perhaps one of the souls of that family told him…

that I will have to keep to myself. sorry.
as for hearing it from Draconis this indeed happened before his time, as it happened before there were gods so I was told.
another thing about spirit hill is that it has become a refuge for souls that need protection until their business is done or if they wish to remain as advisers to the living. it is nice really.
