On the planet Lunixia, before it was called the lunar planet… it went by a different name. Calengoth.

Calengoth was ruled by one king, known as Fredalis. Fredalis was a good and just king; he was kind and generous to his people and strong when he needed to be. Day and night normally passed over the planet, and things were well.

One day, an evil witch by the name of Elucia. (Lady Elucia of the Thorn) Bestowed a gift of a purple rose to King Fredalis of Calengoth. The rose which he took, pricked him with a thorn. Fredalis held no concern over this and jested that her gift though was sweet, was also sharp.

Little to Fredalis’s knowledge Elucia had enchanted the rose, and later that night Fredalis started having nightmares of an endless night, of shadows devouring his people and making ruin all across Calengoth. He awoke to find nothing a stir… in fact, everything was fine, just as it was before.

Many nights passed… a year to be exact, a year to the day. And Lady Elucia came back again, this time she played the king’s heart, saying how she knew about his reoccurring nightmares, and that they were visions of terrible things to come to his people. She promised him she would help him to release the curse that had befallen him. Fredalis allowed her to stay in his castle as a guest.

The first-night Elucia stayed at the castle, Fredalis had a nightmare again, the worst he had yet had. She cast a spell to break the spell on him, or so he thought. Fredalis did not have any more nightmares. And instead, he began having dreams of Elucia.

Artaramis would take away the things given to the needy, would remove laws, and place some to protect the ones who committed crimes; Good King Fredalis was totally unaware of this. At the end of the year, Fredalis and Elucia married, and she became Queen of Calengoth. On the night that would have been their honeymoon, Elucia had Artaramis get their corrupted daughter Jenika to create a purple moon over the planet… a second moon that would forever shadow the planet, the gravitation and rotation set so that no light of the sun would befall Calengoth again.

The next day, upon which would normally be sunrise, Elucia and Artaramis changed the name of the planet to Lunixia, the lunar planet. Since then, Lunixia has been a planet of night. Plants and animals still live, they have all adapted to the endless moonlight. The once proud and happy people of Calengoth became the subjects of much evil, as every one of Feraldis’s nightmares became true. A full year later, and Feraldis’s soul was completely absorbed into Artaramis, and Lunixia became the planet of corruption and evil.

And to this day, even with Artaramis, and Elucia dead, the lunar planet remains, forever under the shadow of night…
